3 Piece Set - Kota
Kota Doria (Kota material) is a lightweight, semi-transparent handwoven fabric originating from the Kota region of Rajasthan, India. It is prized for its exceptional breathability, soft drape, and airy texture, making it especially popular for warm climates. Traditionally woven on pit looms, the fabric is distinguished by its characteristic square-check pattern known as "khats", created through the interweaving of finer and thicker yarns.
Kota Doria is commonly made from a blend of cotton and silk, combining the crispness and comfort of cotton with the subtle sheen and elegance of silk. Modern variations may also use pure cotton, pure silk, or other fiber blends. The fabric is widely used for sarees, dupattas, dress materials, and lightweight garments due to its comfort and graceful appearance.
